Influential artist Les Levine is acknowledged as the founder of media art, having established new categories such as disposable art, media sculpture, body control systems and software art during the late 60s and early 70s. This catalogue was designed in conjunction with the Oakville Galleries exhibit Transmedia—a survey of Levine's key works from 1964 – 1974. The book's production techniques take cues from Levine’s art and prolific experimentation with media, including reflective metallic ink, a slipcover, plastic paper and tipped-in essays (which reference Levine's Mott art catalogues).
