The Missing Novella, contemporary artist Derek Sullivan's exhibition at Oakville Galleries, drew upon literary sources in staging the artist's work within the gallery's Gairloch estate. The catalogue was designed to mimic the dust jacket of the text in question and features cardboard inserts to make it look and feel like a book. When unfolded, the dust jacket reveals not the contents of book, but the loose inserts and a poster containing photographs of the show as well as curator Jon Davies' essay “The House of Fiction Has Many Rooms." The jacket/poster's contents were also shifted across folds and off edges to further evoke the askew character of The Missing Novella.
Shortlisted for the Stiftung Buchkunst (GER) (Best Book Design from All Over the World) and received Honourable Mention at the Alcuin Awards (CAN).
